Aging gracefully is a term we all hear every day. It means to accept the age in which you are and adjust accordingly. This however does not mean that you don’t take steps to feel or look younger. It’s imperative to take all steps and precautions to avoid wrinkles, fine lines, and under-eye dark circles. No smoking

 It’s hard to believe but there is a link between smoking and wrinkles. So for your own body and skin’s health avoid the puff. More people are turning to cigarettes etc for different reasons – to look cool or help with stress. This is not the right way to do any of those things. Deep-set wrinkles form near your mouth from puckering caused by smoking, the skin gets dehydrated and dull, resulting in premature aging and its visible signs.

Consume healthily

 “You are what you eat”, this is an old English adage and is true. For better health, especially good skin drink 7-8 glasses of water a day coupled with eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Veggies and fruits which are rich in Vitamins A, E, C, and K should form a part of our diet. This includes spinach, kale, avocado, Brussels sprouts (dark green and leafy veggies), Indian Gooseberry (known in India as amla), kiwi, grapefruit, oranges, limes, and lemons. Our kitchens are the best source of our health and skin health. It keeps fine lines and wrinkles at bay.

Stress-relieving techniques

 Our ancient Indian stress-relieving techniques are the best and are very handy for keeping a lot of illnesses, signs of aging and stress away. One can start with yoga classes; learn deep breathing techniques and Pranayam. Meditation is a great way to calm down and relieve stress. It makes a person calmer and focused. It's said that around 20 minutes of breathing exercises remove toxins from the body and start giving skin its elasticity back. The moment a person feels relaxed, they look younger. This is why they say don’t frown or get angry, as it increases wrinkles leading to a quicker aging look. Keep smiling and looking younger.

Protect your skin

Take all precautions to keep your skin young, glowing, free from puffy eyes, wrinkles, etc. Avoid too much makeup especially as they contain loads of chemicals that are anyways not good for the skin. Use a good SPF lotion or gel when going out in the sun. Last but not least, have a daily beauty regimen to keep your skin healthy, soft, and nourished.
